The SH900 Extend Table was created by the Danish design duo Strand + Hvass for the Carl Hansen & Son catalogue. The famous table is a symbol of a new Nordic stylistic identity that remains true to the Danish masters and their foundations.
SH900 is made entirely of solid oak, the most valuable and resistant part of it. Available in two different treatments: the first is the oiling which does not change the natural colour of the oak but only makes it more intense and engaging, while the second is the soap finish which slightly bleaches the oak making it perfectly in line with the current Nordic taste. A two-part black extension leaf is mounted inside the table top and extends the table by one metre with a simple movement.
SH900 Extend Table is a simple, intuitive and bold extending table in its shapes and finishes. It reflects the present with a focus on the past.
