The Tacchini Astral bookcase, by designer Faye Toogood, consists of irregular, elliptical metal forms. The creative process originates mostly in the handcrafting of models from everyday materials, from which the minimalist and refined Cosmic collection is derived.
Astral's profiles were first created from folding aluminium mesh, then enlarged in steel. The sheet metal frame is painted with epoxy powder, with an internal matt and an external glossy finish, in two versions: chalk or green, echoing the desk in the same collection. The wall structure consists of an oval shape, placed vertically, with three smaller horizontal ovals inside, differing in shape and storage capacity.
The bookcase is already a work of art, able to decorate the room with its playful yet refined presence. Although at first glance Astral seems to lack straight lines, the shelves are level and functional, ready to be furnished to one's liking. The bookcase is suitable for both modern and elegant environments as well as simpler and more artistic ones.
The unique and innovative style of Tacchini Astral bookcase links its artistic and contemporary look to an everyday and organic use.
