The Tacchini Babela chair is a 1958 design by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, conceived for the Milan Chamber of Commerce. An example of functionality and aesthetics combined in a comfortable and versatile seat.
Tacchini's re-edition transforms the original iron structure into a warmer and more natural ash wood base for a welcoming and luminous look. The internal structure in poplar plywood is padded with polyurethane foam in different densities, offering ergonomics and comfort without interfering with the clean, geometric lines that characterise it. The cover is available in a choice of fabric or leather and is not removable.
