Tetris is a series of square and rectangular coffee tables for the living room, designed by Massimo Castagna for the well-known Italian brand GALLOTTI & RADICE, specialising in high-end furniture. Tetris is a demonstration of how you can play with three-dimensional geometry to achieve stylistically relevant and visually striking effects.
A structure made of thin rods of burnished brass that intersect at right angles with each other in an almost random manner, supports a tempered glass top that can be transparent, bronze-coloured or back-painted bright black. All this manages to create an animated interweaving that recalls the well-known game of Tetris and makes the observer's gaze run along the rods to try to catch the ends of each of them, which in some cases cross the top.
Truly an exceptional piece of work, the effect of which is multiplied when more than one Tetris table is brought together.
The handcrafting of brass generates uneven stains which are a guarantee of the craftsmanship of GALLOTTI & RADICE and give uniqueness and originality to each piece of Tetris.
