Tufty-Time by B&B Italia is a project created in 2005, designed by Patricia Urquiola. It is proposed as a reinterpretation of the capitonné and Chesterfield figures in a modern key. The reference to traditional quilting can be seen in the square "blocks" that make up the sofa, both in the seat, on the armrests and on the backrest. A recurring pattern with a lowered seat and backrests, this feature is designed not to weigh down the room too much or obstruct the view. Tufty time is a truly versatile B&B Italia sofa: starting from the square pouff, various compositions can be created: from the classic linear solutions, corner or with chaise longue, to the more unusual ones with peninsulas and islands that allow 360° seating. Tufty time is also renewed in the 2015 version, where the stitching is less pronounced, increasing the comfort of the seat. The compositions are completed by a series of free cushions of various sizes, which slightly raise the seat, allowing you to lean back in a more formal position and offering more support to the lumbar area of the back. Tufty Time is available either in fabric, with completely removable covers, a modern and very youthful solution, or in leather, elegant and timeless.
