Achille Castiglioni in collaboration with the Italian company Zanotta has designed the magnificent Servomuto coffee table with a polypropylene base and a steel rod painted black white or amaranth. This product also benefits from a special layered laminate top, available in various colours.
Zanotta's Servomuto coffee table is once again a simple yet durable object whose form corresponds perfectly to its function: a stable base with limited space, a slender vertical rod with a knob to hold it at the top and a circular support surface ideal as a coffee table.
Lightweight and easily transportable, worthy heir to Franco Albini's Cicognino jewel of balance and elegance, Zanotta's Servomuto coffee table is part of a very large family of objects, all born from the ashtrays and umbrella stands designed by the Castiglioni brothers expressly for the furnishing of the Splügen Bräu beerhouse/restaurant in Milan in 1961.
