Today, this special interpretation amplifies its legacy, transforming it into a contemporary manifesto: an invitation to slow down, observe and recognise the preciousness — and fragility — of our connection with nature.
In Shepard Fairey’s artistic project, the cycles of life, the delicate balance of ecosystems and the relationship between humans and the environment are translated into a powerful visual narrative. A female figure, the embodiment of Mother Nature, interacts with suspended flowers and birds, composing an image that unites strength and delicacy in a harmonious balance.
Conceived as a work of art to be treasured, the Archibald Delicate Balance armchair is produced in a limited edition and embodies Poltrona Frau’s concrete commitment to sustainability, alongside Shepard Fairey’s environmental and social awareness. For every armchair produced, two coffee trees will be planted in Guatemala, in collaboration with Treedom, to support a community of 80 indigenous women. An initiative that promotes fairer pay, economic independence and the recognition of agricultural work throughout the supply chain.
