Starting with his iconic Archibald chair, designer Jean-Marie Massaud has created another small masterpiece for the Italian brand Poltrona Frau, a dining chair of impeccable elegance. The Archibald Dining Chair has a sculpted, clear-cut, contemporary look, softened by a sartorial touch that is revealed in every detail: like the rich movement of folds on the inside of the leather-covered backrest or the hint of an armrest, designed like a shirt lapel left slightly open with refined, studied casualness. Precious contrast stitching discreetly emphasises the curved line of the back and profiles.
The shell and armrests of the Archibald armchair are made of moulded rigid polyurethane, while the internal padding is made of moulded soft polyurethane and polyester wadding. The seat frame is made of birch plywood, a strong and perfectly durable material. Springing is achieved by means of elastic springs. The four-leg base is made of solid ash wood in Wenge or Moka stained finishes, with felt pads or protective slides on the ends as desired. This product is available both with Pelle Frau leather upholstery with contrasting stitching and in fabric.
The new Archibald Dining Chair by Poltrona Frau retains all the comfort of the collection, with a more streamlined and casual allure that makes it particularly eclectic, ideal for contemporary settings or more classic contexts.
