Designed in 1947 by Charlotte Perriand, the Cassina Doron Hotel armchair was created for the Méribel Les Allues winter sports resort and for the Hôtel Doron, one of the first chalet-hotels in the area. A mountain lover with a deep connection to nature, Perriand was one of the first designers to explore the relationship between humans and the environment, integrating natural materials into her designs with sensitivity and vision.
Comfortable, textured and pleasant to the touch, the Doron Hotel is made of solid ash or Canaletto walnut wood and stands out for its refined structure that plays on joints and crossbars, creating a welcoming and harmonious seat. Comfort is guaranteed by light polyurethane foam padding and a sloping backrest that appears to be suspended, giving the form lightness and dynamism.
The leather or hide upholstery, perfectly in tune with the texture of the wood, gives the armchair a sober elegance and discreet luxury. Designed to enrich the living room, the Cassina Doron Hotel armchair blends naturally with sofas and coffee tables, inviting moments of relaxation and conviviality, and giving the room a sophisticated and refined touch.
Also ideal for contract spaces—such as hotel lobbies, suites and lounge bars—this armchair embellishes any setting with its distinctive style and warm, welcoming presence.
