The CH162 and CH163 sofas were designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1965 for a hypothetical modern living room of his time. Danish company Carl Hansen & Son found these plans in the designer's archives and relaunched the famous sofa in 2013.
Structural elegance together with an early idea of minimalism are the cornerstones of the CH162 and CH163 sofas. A solid oak or walnut frame supports the upholstery, which partially covers it. Cushions upholstered in leather or fabric adorn the seat, back and armrests of Carl Hansen & Son's famous sofas. The CH163 sofa is the largest option with a width of 195cm.
