The Cassina 1 Fauteuil Dossier Basculant – 60 armchair celebrates 60 years of production of the Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand Collection. In this limited edition, the designer armchair is presented in three colourful versions that enrich the original and timeless design.
The balance between form and function is based on the use of Modulor, a system based on standard human body measurements and a mathematical language inspired by the proportions of universal harmony. Maintaining the aesthetics, characteristics and dimensions of the iconic model, the Fauteuil Dossier Basculant consists of a tubular metal frame, available in three new glossy finishes in red, blue and green, coordinated with the self-supporting Cuoio Plus seat in burgundy, blue and green. The slender yet richly detailed structure features exposed springs on the back of the backrest that help support the body, and armrests made from a single strip of leather stretched between the legs, in a gesture of elegant simplicity.
