The Cassina 2 Ottomane pouf is a variation on the Fauteuil Grand Confort, Petite Modèlè armchair, a timeless model that has made design history and become a world-famous icon. The Cassina 2 Ottomane pouf is an adaptation created by Charlotte Perriand in 1978.
This historic model has been updated in 2020 in an eco-friendly version, respecting the original model and nature, which has always been a constant source of inspiration for the designers. In fact, thanks to research carried out by Cassina LAB, eco-friendly polyols have been integrated into the foam elements and a blown fibre, obtained from PET largely recovered from bio-renewable sources, has been introduced into the cushion and seat padding to make it more comfortable and environmentally friendly. The tubular structure is in brushed nickel with a semi-matt finish, a material that stands out for its more sustainable production process.
The decision to embrace greener production choices and materials does not detract from the stylistic and minimalist beauty of the original design. Minimalist and sophisticated, the Cassina 2 Ottomane pouf completes the collection of the same name with an armchair and sofas, enhancing the comfort and elegance that characterise a living room with modern appeal.
