Cassina 7 Fauteuil Tournant, Durable Chair

The 7 Fauteuil Tournant, Durable chair by Cassina is an icon of versatility and functionality, designed in 1927 by Charlotte Perriand for her Parisian studio in Place Saint-Sulpice. First presented at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1928 and then at the Salon d'Automne in 1929, it is now part of the prestigious Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® collection.

Its swivel design is distinguished by its round seat, wrapped in a padded tube that serves as a backrest and armrests. Three metal elements support this structure, creating a refined balance between visual lightness and comfort, thanks to the contrast between the slender metal lines and the soft padded surfaces. Completing the composition are four tubular steel legs, available in a polished chrome or painted finish.

While maintaining the original design intact, the Durable version introduces sustainable materials: the padding is made of recycled polyester wadding, while the leather or fabric upholstery is embellished with black nylon cord that emphasises its profile, adding a touch of sophisticated elegance.

Perfect around a dining table, in executive offices or reception areas, the Cassina 7 Fauteuil Tournant, Durable chair embodies attention to historical design, contemporary comfort and a commitment to responsible production. An object that discreetly and characterfully recounts the evolution of taste and technique.
