Designed by Ico Parisi in 1960 for Cassina, the 875 armchair embodies a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The result of the designer's constant experimentation, this project stands out for its ability to blend classicism and modernity in a single harmonious form. Its simple, refined lines make it versatile and ideal for any home environment.
Its solemn silhouette is defined by generous proportions: a wide seat and protruding armrests that invite relaxation. The characteristic arched steel supports, available in different finishes, support the shell with a touch of originality, while the contrast between materials enhances its eclectic, innovative and functional character.
Originally upholstered in sharp-edged moulded foam rubber, the armchair has now been reissued with polyurethane foam to preserve its linearity and comfort. The seat, backrest and removable cushions are upholstered with fabrics from the Cassina collections, offering sophisticated customisation.
Geometric and welcoming, the Cassina 875 armchair is a piece of historic design that remains as relevant as ever. Elegant and comfortable, it is the perfect retreat for moments of relaxation or for welcoming guests in style during social occasions.
