The Dudet Sofa by Cassina elegantly reinterprets the stylistic language of the famous chair of the same name designed by Patricia Urquiola, expanding its versatility in a refined two-seater version. The sofa stands out for its structure composed of three upholstered elements: a generous seat cushion and two sinuous tubular elements that, in a single continuous line, define the legs, armrests and backrest, creating an iconic and recognisable profile.
The seat, suspended within the tubular frame, conveys a feeling of visual lightness, further accentuated by the gaps between the backrest and cushion. This detail echoes the aesthetics of the collection, giving the sofa a strong and consistent identity.
Sustainability and design blend harmoniously: the steel structure is designed to be separated from the polyurethane foam padding, which includes bio-based polyols. This allows for easy disassembly and facilitates material recovery. The fabric cover is also removable, thanks to a discreet zip—available in grey or black—that elegantly runs along the inside of the legs.
With its retro style inspired by the 1970s, the Cassina Dudet Sofa fits naturally into residential and hospitality spaces, creating welcoming and sophisticated convivial corners. In contract contexts, such as hotel lobbies, lounges or representative offices, it becomes the protagonist, elevating the atmosphere and transforming itself into an authentic design object.
