The Dudet Bold sofa by Cassina is the natural evolution of the chair designed by Patricia Urquiola in 2021 and the small sofa introduced in 2024. This new model amplifies the concept of comfort by optimising its three distinctive upholstered elements: a generous seat cushion and two sinuous tubular elements that, in a single continuous line, define the legs, armrests and backrest.
Available in a single size, Dudet Bold stands out for its soft silhouette and harmonious curves. The slightly curved seat is enveloped by the tubular structure, a truly iconic feature of the design, which echoes the aesthetics of the chairs in the same collection.
In addition to its strong aesthetic identity, Dudet Bold has a sustainable soul: the steel structure can be separated from the polyurethane foam padding, made with a percentage of polyols from biological sources. This approach facilitates disassembly and material recovery. The fabric cover is also removable thanks to a zip, available in grey or black, which elegantly runs along the inner arch of the legs.
With a clear nod to the style of the 1970s, the Cassina Dudet Bold sofa fits naturally into both residential and hospitality spaces. At the centre of the living room, it becomes the absolute protagonist thanks to its welcoming shape, which invites conviviality and relaxation. In contract contexts, such as hotel lobbies, waiting rooms or representative offices, it elevates the tone of the space, transforming itself into an authentic design object.
