The Duc-Duc sofa by Cassina is a contemporary reinterpretation of an original 1976 design, born from the combination of cutting-edge materials and technological innovation. Respecting the sophisticated and visionary design of the era, Cassina has renewed its proportions and improved its comfort, making it perfectly contemporary.
Its silhouette stands out for its light, suspended profile, thanks to the slim base open at the front, which connects harmoniously to the backrest and armrest structure. This element rests on elegant solid wood feet, which accentuate the feeling of lightness and refinement. An iconic detail, inherited from the original design, is the visible hinge that runs along the sides for the entire height, holding the structural panels together and adding a technical and distinctive touch.
The real innovation lies in the cushion padding: made from polyurethane foam and covered with 100% recycled fibre, obtained from PET recovered mainly from the oceans. This initiative, the result of research by Cassina LAB in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, expresses the brand's commitment to environmental sustainability, with the aim of renewing its historic products in an ecological key.
Available in two- or three-seater sofa and armchair versions, the Cassina Duc-Duc sofa fits discreetly and elegantly into any environment, offering a perfect balance between style and comfort. The padded cushions invite relaxation and conviviality, while for those who want additional comfort, optional armrest cushions can be added.
