Determined to bring a key chapter in the history of design back into the spotlight, Gubi’s F300 armchair reinterprets and updates the original vision conceived by French designer Pierre Paulin in the late 1960s. A revolutionary design then as now: sculptural, almost futuristic forms that set it apart from every other chair at the time and which still define its iconic aura today.
The Hirek frame forms a deeply welcoming, bowl-shaped seat, designed to envelop the body and allow it to sink into soft, protective comfort. Even the legs, sinuous and concave, naturally extend the lines of the shell, creating a harmonious and seamless whole. The upholstery, fitted like a bespoke suit, is divided into four panels that gently slope down towards the legs, accentuating the armchair’s sculptural character and the project’s sartorial attention to detail.
A decorative and functional icon, the Gubi F300 armchair is equally at home in the living room or in spaces dedicated to rest and conversation, bringing with it a rare balance between bold aesthetics and everyday comfort. Every upholstery and finish is designed to enhance its unique personality, transforming the F300 into a timeless, iconic piece capable of elevating any space with its presence.
