Designed between 1956 and 1957 by Franco Albini and Franca Helg, Cassina's Infinito bookcase is a masterpiece of balance between formal elegance and ingenious construction. Double-sided and flexible, it can be placed against a wall or in the centre of a room as a refined room divider. Its slender and seemingly simple structure conceals a design complexity that enhances its versatility.
The adjustable uprights, fixed between the floor and ceiling by means of minimalist-design tips, lend slenderness and lightness to the entire composition. A system of holes allows shelves and containers of different heights to be inserted freely, allowing you to play with solids and voids to create functional and spectacular solutions. The current reissue is available in three fine finishes: natural ash, black-stained ash and Canaletto walnut.
The Cassina Infinito bookcase offers a wide range of configurations, adapting to the compositional and functional needs of any environment. When anchored between the floor and ceiling, the bookcase can be used on both sides, accommodating books, objects or decorative items, and transforming into an elegant dividing module.
Thanks to its clean lines and extraordinary flexibility of use, Infinito fits naturally into modern and traditional living rooms, enhancing the character of the space with a minimalist, sophisticated and timeless design.
