A designer bookcase, a storage system, an advanced vision of order and organisation that adapts to the spaces and rhythms of contemporary living. This is Cassina's Rialto bookcase, designed in the 1970s by Carlo Scarpa for his own home and later reinterpreted at the request of Dino Gavina to adapt to industrial production processes.
Sleek and light, Rialto stands out for its 20 mm wood agglomerate structure, veneered and edged with pre-composed wood. The modular elements are joined by a spacer, an iconic detail that gives rhythm and recognisability to the design. Available finishes include natural ash, black-stained ash and matt lacquer, while the central block, consisting of shelves or small drawers, is painted with a matt finish for a touch of understated elegance.
Versatile and refined, the Cassina Rialto bookcase blends harmoniously into modern and traditional environments, personalising the walls of the living room or lounge with discreet and sophisticated functionality. Accessorised with books, vases and photographs, it reflects the identity of those who inhabit the space, while maintaining its formal elegance and timeless essence.
