The Tamburound armchair by Cassina is a versatile seat, designed for convivial and informal settings, such as a cheerful and relaxed dining room. The result of the creativity of British duo Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, Tamburound was created with the intention of bringing dynamic furniture into the living room, capable of encouraging interaction between diners.
Compact and also available in a version without a backrest, this armchair stands out for its sophisticated hidden mechanism that allows its components to rotate smoothly. The seat and backrest move in harmony, like satellites orbiting a planet, offering a full 360° rotation, calibrated to ensure an intuitive and controlled user experience.
In the model with backrest, the rounded volumes expand, accompanied by a sinuous die-cast aluminium bracket, available in different colour finishes. This structural element connects and supports the two rotating components, giving the armchair a sculptural and refined character.
The Tamburo armchair by Cassina is available in a wide selection of upholstery options, all of which are completely removable thanks to a practical zip. The structure is designed to minimise the use of foam materials, using polyurethane with a percentage of bio-based polyols. The padding, on the other hand, is made of recycled PET fibre wadding, reflecting Cassina's commitment to sustainability.
