Tramonto a New York Screen by Cassina, designed by Gaetano Pesce, is a sculptural screen that transforms light and colour into pure artistic expression. Inspired by the iconic sofa of the same name, this triptych recreates the urban skyline of New York through vibrant shades and skilfully measured pigments, capable of generating ever-changing intensities of light.
Made of semi-transparent polyurethane resin, the screen is composed of panels of various heights and widths, joined by satin-finish brass hinges. The surfaces are enlivened by coloured vertical and horizontal stripes, evoking the image of closely spaced buildings. In the centre, a large suspended circle symbolises the setting sun, nestled between the buildings as if in a delicate visual balance.
The result is a kaleidoscope of colours that adds character and personality to any room, from the living room to spaces dedicated to study or relaxation. The Cassina Tramonto a New York Screen is not just a piece of furniture, but a true work of art that enriches the home and reflects the identity of those who live there.
Each piece in the collection is unique and certified by a plaque bearing the year of the project, the serial number, the Cassina logo and the artist's signature. A tribute to art, light and the city that never sleeps.
