The Ceccotti Collezioni Dorotea desk is a piece of furniture characterised by a snappy sign, by feminine and sinuous shapes, which also transforms into an elegant dressing table version. Designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, Dorotea rediscovers the furniture of yesteryear with its dynamic and elegant design.
Both versions of Dorotea are made of solid American walnut and veneered plywood, available in different finishes. The turned legs, very slender with the foot slightly inclined at the front, widen at the top to accommodate the oval top with a frame that runs along the entire silhouette. In the vanity model, a flap with a mirror is carved into the surface, revealing a container divided into compartments of multiple dimensions, and embellished with a leather bottom. The surface was designed with a minimum thickness so as not to create disproportion with the graphic legs, but at the same time capable of accommodating a container.
The Ceccotti Collezioni Dorotea desk combined with a chair, which recalls the sinuous elegance of the furniture, becomes a corner in which to be inspired by reading. While in the vanity version, together with a refined stool, it offers a place to devote oneself to personal care with practical storage compartments. Dorotea decorates the bedroom or home office with a glance at the furniture of the past, recalling its refined luxury.
The 'sentimental' design research that characterises the study behind the Ceccotti Collezioni Dorotea desk makes for a piece of furniture that is refined, practical and elegant at the same time.
