The Ceccotti Collezioni Nòs desk takes the Model 530, designed for Bernini in 1957, and renames it on the occasion of its re-edition sixty-five years after it was first put into production. Designed by Ceccotti with Gianfranco Frattini, Nòs emphasises the designer's holistic vision in thinking of spaces and furnishings as a historical continuum: the design becomes all-embracing and nothing can be accidental.
Nòs is made of solid American walnut and veneered poplar plywood and is characterised by its distinctive hourglass base, embellished with a frame that emphasises its profile. The desk comes in three different versions: the standard one has a smooth worktop, under which there are two lockable drawers, one on each side with a key with a wooden handle, and three compartments, one on the front and two on the back; in the second version, the drawer base is replicated to be housed on the top acting as a practical storage or document holder; finally, the last model adds a shelf above the top with two shutter closures, hiding compartments and drawers, echoing the secretaire furniture created in the 18th century to cater to women's taste.
