Meticulous workmanship enhances the precious leather and high craftsmanship that has always characterised Made in Italy. The Cestlavie coffee table by Poltrona Frau is made up of strips of Saddle Extra leather skilfully woven by hand one by one, giving shape to the casing. It is supported by a tubular aluminium structure, which makes it appear to be suspended on thin, almost graphic, steel supports. The depth of the leather and the sharpness of the metal create interesting light movements.
The upper part, upholstered in Pelle Frau leather, has a folding disc-shaped lid that gives access to the interior while offering a comfortable shelf. The braided leather bands are also dyed at the edges tone on tone, using techniques typical of the finest small leather goods. The leather is also finished on the inner surface with a protective transparent wax treatment.
