Poltrona Frau's coffee tables are distinguished by their well-balanced proportions, which allow them to be beautiful and, at the same time, resistant and functional.
In collaboration with this Italian brand, designer Virginia Harper has created the Hudson collection of coffee tables: an elegant game of Chinese boxes, of full and empty spaces, of lightness and matter. One table contains another. The first is a mini architecture inspired by the Freedom Tower in New York, while the second, a coffee table-pouf, fits perfectly into the cavity of the first. A small leather or cowhide handle makes it easy to remove and move the pouf and use it next to the other side table or even individually.
The Hudson coffee table by Poltrona Frau is composed of a tubular metal frame with a gunmetal finish that reproduces with great expertise a hexagonal polyhedron slender upwards. The top is made of sheet metal and birch plywood painted black. The upholstery, in Saddle leather with a clean-cut edge and contrasting stitching, alternates between three panels of solid leather and three in perforated leather with a distinctive geometric pattern carving. The frame of the second Hudson coffee table-pouf by Poltrona Frau is made of multilayer beech covered with thin polyurethane foam padding and completely upholstered in fabric or leather.
