A combination of essential volumes, textures and materials, in which craftsmanship attention to detail characterises a linear and rigorous design: the Obliqua kitchen by Ernestomeda offers a balanced image, but with great personality.
Obliqua by Ernestomeda is a modular kitchen created by the Ernestomeda Research and Development team. The project we wanted to create was a fully modular kitchen, made with technologically functional materials, while maintaining a handcrafted look. The result is an unconventional and extremely modern kitchen.
The choice of its name derives precisely from the cut shape of the doors and top, in a linearity that translates into the chromatic continuity of the single finish for the top, grooves, doors and plinths. This moulding has a dual function, both aesthetic and functional, as it is the socket for opening all the kitchen modules.
The possibilities of the Obliqua kitchen also include the layout with integrated table, available in various finishes, among which the warm and enveloping notes of Deluxe solid wood stand out. Great attention was paid to the materials: the woods are in fact derived from unused railway sleepers found in old sheds, which Ernestomeda has given new life leaving the original aesthetic characteristics unchanged, from the veining to the variations in colour, the result of the natural action of time and atmospheric agents.
There is also no shortage of high-tech and innovative materials, such as FenixNTM and biomalta, a high-performance acrylic-based resin characterised by its extreme resistance to wear and adaptability to any surface. Thanks to its craftsmanship, the finish is enriched with ever-changing details that make each composition unique.
