The Frisbi suspension lamp was created in 1978 by Achille Castiglioni and is produced by the Italian company Flos. Over the years it will be taken as inspiration by countless designers who are amazed by the avant-garde nature of the project.
The Frisbi suspension lamp is characterised by a reflector in the form of a lampshade made of polished and nickel-plated sheet metal, under which an opaline PMMA plate is suspended, attached to the structure by three thin steel wires. The effect is very impressive and the idea immediately appears ingenious: a strong, intense light is shielded by an opal disc that gently diffuses its light rays, transforming a potentially annoying light into a diffuse light. The Frisbi pendant lamp has a height of 73cm to be added to the length of the suspension cable.
