The Pigreco chair represents the essentiality of the sign in a design that is historic but, today as then, modern. Created in 1959 as a graduation project by Tobia Scarpa, Pigreco is re-edited by Tacchini maintaining the harmony between straight and curved lines that have always distinguished it.
The structure is based on the proportion between solids and voids, made of Canaletto walnut stained natural or ash wood stained walnut or anthracite. The seat padded with polyurethane foam in different densities, and upholstered in fabric or leather, offers comfort and ergonomics. The slender, essential lines of the Tacchini Pigreco chair convey a sense of space to a traditionally static object. The curve that forms the chair envelops the user, while the two rear legs close together offer stability and dynamism to the structure.
The visual and structural lightness that pervades the object makes it suitable for various domestic environments. Around a table or as a single seat, Pigreco captures the room's attention with its unique and harmonious design.
The Tacchini Pigreco chair is a masterpiece of design that has retained its strong identity and bold style through the years. A well-proportioned model with timeless appeal.
