The base, composed of a ribbed Canaletto walnut panel, rests on a tubular steel bracket painted gunmetal grey and creates a delicate suspension effect thanks to the slender feet. The cushioning of the back and armrests, which can be adapted to suit one's own style, is set into the lenticular seat that gives the sofa fluidity and movement. This creates an extremely elegant and minimalist piece of furniture to be placed within one's living room with a classical imprint or a loft with a contemporary style. In 2021, Sumo introduced a variant with a wood veneer base edged in ribbed Canaletto walnut, now perfectly horizontal but without losing its minimalist essence. This base supports different volumes, from the thinner upholstery of the seat, to the majestic armrests, to the backrest that curves and lightens at the back, showing the wooden support frame.
