The Tacchini Additional System sofa features modules with unusual shapes that create variable and unusual seating configurations. Born from Joe Colombo's 1967 design, it is now re-proposed by Tacchini in respect of the original spirit with a timeless visionary charm, that still remains.
Tacchini Additional System is made up of six cushions of different sizes, dynamically and flexibly modular to create unique and original modular configurations, varying the number of elements, the heights and their arrangement. The cushions, inspired by the ergonomic studies of the 1960s, create an upholstered piece of furniture with original shapes that allow for the customisation of contemporary living spaces. The wooden frame is upholstered with polyurethane foam in different densities, while the base and aluminium inserts support the cushions, as in a game of balance and interlocking, where the linear base can be glimpsed. The customisable upholstery is available in fabric or leather, both with removable covers.
The modular Tacchini Additional System sofa fits into contemporary and elegant contexts, thanks to its sinuous and dynamic presence. In one's own living room it gives a refined and designer look, without neglecting the ergonomic curves that invite one to pause for moments of rest and relaxation. It is also suitable for lounge environments where its light-hearted elegance decorates with taste and refinement.
Tacchini Additional System is also available as a daybed to enjoy moments of reading or resting. The extraordinarily shaped modules create seating where aggregation and variability become absolute protagonists. The Tacchini Additional System sofa becomes a timeless, almost sculptural design object thanks to the perception of the interlocking cushions with their curved, ergonomic shapes.
