In 1999, Jasper Morrison created the Glo-Ball C2 ceiling lamp, later produced by the Italian company Flos. Over time, it would become a source of inspiration for countless lighting designers.
Glo-Ball C2 by the Italian company Flos is made using an ancient artisan technique typical of Venetian glassmakers: mouth-blowing. By blowing into a long tube at the end of which is the glass material still at very high temperatures, a swelling is created in it which then becomes a glass bubble such as Glo-Ball C2 . Our bubble, made of flashed opal glass, is then painted with an acid-etched finish to give life to its recognisable whitened opaque tone that allows light to filter through, creating magical atmospheres. Available in the Glo-Ball C1 version with a diameter of 33cm or in the Glo-Ball C2 45cm version.
Glo-Ball C2 is suitable for every type of environment and situation: from the living room, to the sleeping area, to the dining area, to a sheltered outdoor area, a restaurant entrance, a concept store, a hotel and wherever there is a desire to impress. Available in five different sizes, it is also suitable for light compositions.
