Designer Jean-Marie Massaud plays with the volumes of his classic GranTorino and creates a new, original and irreverent armchair: the GranTorino HB armchair. This piece of furniture reshuffles proportions to become an authentic refuge and shelter from the outside world, thanks to a high backrest in leather or precious worked leather that characterises its silhouette. Cosy and rich by definition, it is perhaps one of the elements in which it is easiest to find a synthesis of form and comfort.
The seat frame of the Gran Torino HB armchair by Poltrona Frau is made of tubular metal with interwoven elastic straps. The backrests and armrests are made of birch plywood. The external padding of the backrests and sides is in polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, while the internal side is in polyester wadding, covered with a soft fabric quilt embellished with "X" stitching made by hand with contrasting thread.
