East and West. Poltrona Frau's Ming's Hearth armchair goes to the heart of two worlds, two visions, two philosophies of life and living. The reference model in Shi-Chieh Lu's work is the historic Ming chair. The calligraphic purity of the flowing lines, the perfect expression of Chinese and Oriental spirituality, blends with the geometric and cubic rigour of the Western vision. Shi-Chieh Lu excavates the surfaces until a continuous line is obtained. Armrests, seat and backrest become a very light graphic sign.
Ming's Hearth armchair by Poltrona Frau has a tubular steel profile with gunmetal coloured galvanic treatment. The shell is a continuous surface, made of thin steel plate, completely covered in Saddle Extra leather with contrasting stitching. Its ends are fixed to the tubes by visible screws. The effect is a seat floating in space, almost a conceptual sculpture.
The design of the seat, characterised by sinuous lines and able to perfectly embrace the body, will give a comfort that is not indiscreet, while the quality of the materials of which the Ming's Hearth armchair by Poltrona Frau is made will guarantee resistance and durability to the product. Suitable for both residential and contract environments, it will become the silent protagonist of the furnishings, blending perfectly into the context in which you decide to place it.
