Designed by the GamFratesi duo, the Gubi Gent chair is the result of a fusion between the understated elegance of Scandinavian design and the dynamic vitality of Italian lines. The result is a playful balance between formality and originality: a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic dining chair that subtly evokes the aesthetic of the 1950s.
Closely related to the Masculo chair, Gent is defined by a distinctive backrest that expresses a decisive yet never rigid masculinity, balanced by an enveloping curve that cradles the body naturally. The light padding and fabric upholstery make the seat soft to the touch, whilst the black-stained ash frame elegantly supports the shell and seat. Two metal details, positioned near the backrest, enhance the profile and highlight the design’s artisanal craftsmanship.
Lightweight, minimalist and armless, the Gent chair by Gubi is ideal for placement around the dining table in private homes as well as in restaurants and hospitality spaces. Elegant and contemporary, it discreetly furnishes the home dining area and integrates naturally into contract settings too, where its design helps to enhance and define the space.
