Gubi’s Satellite wall lamp, with its striking, bold and playful design, stems from the innovative vision of Mathieu Matégot and is now available once again after almost seventy years. With its geometric shapes and finely balanced arms that create an extraordinary sculptural presence, the collection pays homage to the scientific progress and optimism of post-war France, from which it takes its name and inspiration.
The lamp consists of two lampshades made from Rigitulle, Matégot’s iconic technique that bends and curves perforated steel to create slanted, light and vibrant forms. Mounted on sculptural metal arms, the lampshades create a unique interplay of transparency, balance and movement, projecting a dance of light and shadow onto the wall with an evocative and festive atmosphere. Available in cream white, matt black or a combination of the two, they are supported by a matt black structure that enhances their graphic design.
Despite its name, the Gubi Satellite wall lamp can also be mounted on the ceiling, creating a striking focal point. Its design, reminiscent of balloons suspended from a string, makes it a standout feature in any setting — whether at home, in an office or in a hotel. In hallways, living rooms or dining areas, it illuminates the space with style and adds personality to interiors, transforming every wall into a small, luminous scene.
