The Air bookcase by Italian company Lago was designed in 2006 by Daniele Lago. The composition adheres to the company's credo of cutting-edge furniture with strictly glass legs.
The idea of the bookcase as we know it is totally inverted by shifting the weight to the storage elements such as compartments or shelves instead of the load-bearing elements (usually the heaviest and thickest), which are here made of glass. The Air Bookcase is finished at 360°, which allows it to be placed as a wall-mounted storage wall as well as in the middle of the room, taking on the appearance of a partition. Air, as well as every Lago project, leaves an unparalleled freedom of composition bringing the user inside the project itself that he will define and design.
