The Filo floor lamp is the result of a collaboration between the Italian company Foscarini and designer Andrea Anastasio. While studying philosophy, during his work experience in the architectural field in India, his research on the innovation of traditional craft techniques and a thousand other special experiences, Andrea Anastasio became fascinated by the study of the poetics of conceptual art and its potential convergence with industrial design, abandoning himself to the world of design.
Filo is the first lamp conceived by the designer for the collaboration with Foscarini; it is characterized as a powerful crossover of languages, forms, expressions, and concepts. Filo was born from the idea of breaking down the individual parts of the lamp: light source (porcelain cone), electric cable and decoration (blown glass). In its floor version, Filo is available in four types of color and shape combinations. The Filo lamp by Foscarini is available as a table, a floor and a wall lamp.
The Filo wall lamp is imbued with the passions and beliefs of its eclectic designer and conveys their peculiarities, nuances, and poetry. Filo is a wall lamp that is suitable for any type of setting and its strength lies in its image, which is much closer to a work of contemporary art than a simple lamp.
