The Stylos floor lamp was created in 1984, designed by Achille Castiglioni and produced by the Italian company Flos. Stylos caused a sensation when it was presented to the public in the 1980s and the idea seemed so ingenious that designers began to draw inspiration from it for their designs and continue to do so today.
Stylos is characterised by a silver painted steel base and a cylindrical opal plastic diffuser. There are two light sources in the Stylos lamp: one at the base and one at the end of the cylinder, and it is up to us to choose whether to switch on one or both depending on the atmosphere we want to create. The Stylos floor lamp has a size of 200cm which allows it to dominate the space but at the same time to integrate with it thanks to its strong resemblance to an architectural element.
The Stylos floor lamp by the Italian company Flos is an extremely contemporary piece of furniture that allows us to play skilfully with lighting to create remarkable scenic effects. Choose Stylos because it bears the signature of the undisputed master of industrial design, choose it because it is a fragment of history which, as such, will never fade away.
