The Eolie collection of suspension lamps by Foscarini, comprising the Alicudi, Filicudi and Panarea models, pays homage to the volcanic magnetism of the three islands from which it takes its name. Small, intense and highly textural, these lamps are the result of the creativity of Alberto and Francesco Meda, who have combined design, sustainability and research in a cutting-edge project for Foscarini.
Made from an innovative composite obtained from fragments of lava stone waste, the Eolie lamps stand out for their soft, organic shapes, moulded in thin, lightweight moulds. Light and matter blend in a natural balance, enhancing the rough expressiveness of the lava and celebrating the unique craftsmanship of each piece, made unrepeatable by the ever-changing porosity of the surface.
