In 1999, Jasper Morrison created the Glo-Ball W wall lamp, later produced by the Italian company Flos. Over time, it would become a source of inspiration for countless lighting designers.
Glo-Ball W by the Italian company Flos is made using an ancient artisan technique typical of Venetian glassmakers: mouth-blowing. By blowing into a long tube at the end of which is the glass material still at very high temperatures, a swelling is created in it which then becomes a glass bubble like Glo-Ball W . Our bubble, made of flashed opal glass, is then painted with an acid-etched finish to create its recognisable bleached opaque tone, which allows light to filter through, creating magical atmospheres. Wall-mounted Glo-ball W has a diameter of 33cm and a height of 26cm as it is a unique flattened shape.
Glo-Ball W is suitable for every type of environment and situation: from the living room, the sleeping area, the dining area, a sheltered outdoor area, a restaurant entrance, a concept store, a hotel and wherever there is a desire to impress.
