Living Box by Molteni & C, designed by Vincent Van Duysen, is an elegant low storage unit that enhances the living area with its geometric and clean-lined design. The outer frame and top are finished in a refined Rovere Caffè finish, a dark, textured wood that frames the entire piece, lending warmth and sophistication to the room.
Inside, the unit features a spacious storage compartment with drawers in Iris Lacquer, a neutral shade that creates a subtle contrast with the darkness of the wood. This interplay of colours enhances the brightness of the interior, making Living Box not only functional but also aesthetically appealing. These elements are freestanding and can be moved to the sides or the centre, depending on space requirements or to create different layouts.
The top, with its panels featuring a modified veneer pattern, adds a touch of refined cabinet-making craftsmanship to this unique piece of furniture.
An additional touch of modernity is provided by the dimmable LED lighting system, integrated into the upper edge of the open compartment. The light spreads softly downwards, enhancing the materials and interior volumes. The light intensity can be easily adjusted using a handy remote control supplied with the unit.
The design stands out for its lack of visible handles, the 45-degree cuts both vertically and horizontally (eliminating any protrusion when the drawers are closed) and the wide open compartment that visually lightens the structure.
