Designed by designer Roberto Lazzeroni by calibrating important shapes with a soft, rounded design, Poltrona Frau's Mamy Blue Bed becomes almost sculpture, shaped and worked with skill by the Italian brand's craftsmen.
The headboard of Poltrona Frau's Mamy Blue Bed almost collapses in on itself following the current of the visible stitching. The central area is made of solid beech and poplar wood and birch plywood, while the sides are made of moulded polyurethane foam. The feet, in ash wood stained wenge or moka, balance the imposing nature of the bed, lifting it off the ground and lightening its visual impact. Bed frame made of fir blockboard and medium-density wood fibre with poplar plywood footboard. The upholstery is made of Saddle Extra Leather combined with fine Pelle Frau leather for the inside of the headboard.
