Noonu is the name of the new upholstered sofa system designed by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia, a living piece inspired by the pristine nature oases of Hawaii.
The Noonu sofa system features innovative lines with floating elements that seem to hover above the ground. The supporting structure disappears from view, creating "islands" enriched with sets of cushions of various sizes to confer maximum comfort and relaxation; there is also a roller cushion that can serve as an armrest or backrest.
Antonio Citterio has designed four organic shapes. Each is unique, but they share a common characteristic: elegant simplicity. In addition to the more traditional variants (square and rectangular), those in the shape of a piano and sail are worth highlighting. The piano-shaped base provides a cozy curve where the back can rest, while the sail version creates a light, rounded chaise longue.
The covers available are all those from the B&B Italia catalog, in fabric or leather. B&B Italia's Noonu sofa is a fully modular product that can be customized to suit the size of the room.
