In designing the Fidelio series, Roberto Lazzeroni chose a deliberately dry design combined with precious materials: formal essentiality and sophisticated finishes for a transversal collection that can be easily combined with all other Poltrona Frau furnishings. Functional details become strongly characterising aesthetic elements, such as the grooved handles that graphically mark the surfaces. There is also an intense contrast between the warm, dark tones of leather and wood that characterise the exteriors, and the luminous explosion of very light natural maple that is revealed in the compartments. The collection includes the Low Cabinet, the High Cabinet and the Fidelio Bar Cabinet.
The supporting structure is made of solid ash and birch plywood with a mocha-coloured ash veneer on the outside. Extra light natural maple lights up the interior. The doors are made of birch and poplar plywood, veneered on the inside with moka-stained ash for the Fidelio Low Cabinet and with extra light natural maple veneer for the Fidelio High Cabinet. The doors are edged with solid mocha-stained ash.
The Fidelio sideboard by Poltrona Frau available in our showroom and features a base in moka-stained ash wood and natural maple, doors covered in Saddle extra leather with cord finish and a top in glossy veined arabescato marble.
