From the historical archives of Giancarlo Frattini is reborn, together with Tacchini, the Serie 500, a collection still considered one of the most characteristic and complete designed by the designer and architect. The 500 Series derives from a careful observation of the needs of a new way of living, filtered through the aesthetics of the designer and his historical memory.
The re-edited collection offers two models: Series 500/3 and Series 500/4. The first is a three-unit sideboard with shuttered doors and drawers in the left compartment. The central compartment has optional wooden or glass shelves. The second is a four-unit high sideboard, with shutters and drawers in the lower left compartment. Two compartments have optional wooden or glass shelves. The two models have been designed following an ante litteram modularity concept, which begins with a basic bench element, made of curved wood strengthened by T-shaped feet that make it non-deformable, and then provides for the addition of various modules in length and height. The 500 Series is made of Canaletto Walnut wood, which brings out the grain and warms up the room.
The two Tacchini 500 Series cabinets stand out in the room as storage units with an elegant finish. With its clean yet delicate lines, the sideboard decorates any furnishing style with refinement along with the other Tacchini furniture. The shutter doors allow drawers and shelves to be shown or hidden, containing decorative or personal items.
The Tacchini 500 Series combines sophisticated aesthetics with functionality, in the full style of the 1950s Italian design movement. Unexpected compartments open the doors of memory and recall the warmth of home.
