We can immediately see that Tokyo by Calligaris is a table inspired by oriental lines, where classic and modern come together to create a unique style. Even the materials used, wood for the base and glass for the top, combine to create a homogeneous product, despite being two contrasting materials.
Fabio di Bartolomei is a designer whose primary objective is to create objects for life, always in search of the right balance between image and functionality. In 1991 he designed the Tokyo table exclusively for Calligaris, which is still one of the company's flagship products.
The 4 legs with oblique lines draw an X and are joined by a central axis via two metal joints. The transparent tempered glass top is available in a rectangular version in the sizes 160x90cm or 180x90cm, but also in a round version with a diameter of 110cm.
Tokyo by Calligaris is perfect for living and dining rooms and the round version is perfect for seating an odd number of diners.
