The Ok lamp by the Italian company Flos was designed by Konstantin Grcic in 2014. The most careful observer will not be able to miss the striking resemblance to the famous lamp "Parentesi" by Achille Castiglioni. The resemblance is intentional, sought after, but beware: this is not a copy but simply a tribute to the great master. The designer Konstantin Grcic wanted to reproduce the Parentesi lamp as it would have been produced with today's cutting-edge technologies to make it survive and re-present it in the new century: just as the Parentesi lamp celebrated the light bulb in the most beautiful and essential way so "Ok" will celebrate the progress of our cutting-edge technology.
The Ok lamp maintains the form and spirit of Castiglioni's design by changing the light source from a simple light bulb to an extremely thin LED disk capable of rotating by 360°. The counterweight that was originally rectangular is now conical. The light disc is attached to a structure that slides,depending on the user's need, up and down a metal cable attached from floor to wall. A dimmable switch with Soft Touch technology allows you to adjust the light intensity. The Ok lamp is available in yellow, chrome and white.
