The Kauri Beam table by Riva 1920 celebrates the extraordinary uniqueness of millennia-old Kauri wood, a rare and fascinating material that bears the marks of time and nature. Each tabletop tells a unique story through its grain, colour variations and details, making every piece one-of-a-kind and transforming the table into a striking centrepiece. Able to blend seamlessly with both contemporary interiors and more traditional settings, Kauri Beam strikes a refined balance between the authenticity of the material and sophisticated design.
The tabletop, crafted from solid millennia-old Kauri wood, can be finished with natural edges, preserving the wood’s original irregularities and highlighting its most authentic character, or with the knots filled with transparent resin, to achieve a more linear and geometric surface that emphasises the contrast between nature and design. Supporting it is an iron base with a strong architectural character, inspired by industrial beams and their characteristic double-T section. This solution introduces a bold, contemporary graphic element, creating a harmonious dialogue between the expressive power of the metal and the extraordinary visual richness of the Kauri.
The Riva 1920 Kauri Beam table enhances the dining area with a commanding and distinctive presence, where the charm of a millennia-old material meets a contemporary aesthetic. Around its tabletop, moments of gathering, conversation and sharing take shape, whilst the contrast between the warmth of the wood and the clean lines of the metal frame creates a balance of great elegance. It is a design that fully embodies the Riva 1920 philosophy, combining exceptional materials, masterful craftsmanship and innovative design in a piece of furniture destined to stand the test of time.
