The Kauri Bedrock table by Riva 1920 celebrates the extraordinary uniqueness of thousand-year-old Kauri wood, a rare and fascinating material whose grain tells the story of time and nature. Each tabletop is a unique piece, marked by unrepeatable shades, patterns and details that enhance its authentic value.
The tabletop, crafted from solid millennia-old Kauri wood, is available either with natural edges – preserving the wood’s original grain and highlighting its most authentic character – or with the knots filled with transparent resin, creating a smoother surface that strikes a refined balance between natural spontaneity and design precision. It is supported by a geometrically designed iron sheet base, available in various finishes, which introduces a bold and contemporary architectural element. The interplay between the organic richness of the Kauri and the precision of the metal structure creates a harmonious contrast between materiality and visual lightness, between tradition and innovation, between sculpture and design.
The Kauri Bedrock table by Riva 1920 enriches the dining area with a commanding and sophisticated presence, where the charm of a millennia-old material meets a contemporary aesthetic. Around its tabletop, moments of gathering, conversation and sharing take shape, whilst every detail reflects the pursuit of excellence that sets Riva 1920 apart. A design that fully embodies the company’s philosophy, combining extraordinary materials, masterful craftsmanship and design culture in a piece of furniture destined to stand the test of time. A table that transforms the ancestral power of nature into an elegant and immersive living experience, becoming the focal point of the space with discretion, personality and authentic value.
